Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to lead NEPA and permitting for mining and energy projects in the Mountain West region. This remote-friendly role involves coordinating with federal, state, and local agencies and guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality environmental documents and permitting strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical/natural science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience with NEPA, environmental reviews, mine permitting, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal, state, and local permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects.
• Serve as primary contact with government and private sector clients.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to prepare NEPA documents and deliverables.
• Plan tasks to ensure timely, high-quality NEPA and permitting products.
• Interface with agencies and clients to build strong relationships.
• Identify new opportunities, prepare proposals, and grow client relationships.
• Lead project teams to meet schedule, quality, and budget goals.
