Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in the United States (Phoenix, AZ) seeks an Environmental Planner II to support project management, NEPA work, and field surveys for transportation, rail, renewables, water, and utilities projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in environmental sciences, has at least five years of NEPA experience, and excels in communication. Will work in office, field, and remote settings with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, planning, or related fields, advanced degree a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.
• Experience with common software for industry, specifically Microsoft products. Experience with GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management duties and lead tasks.
• Prepare NEPA documents or major sections and related technical reports.
• Conduct field investigations or resource surveys for transportation, rail, renewables, water, ports, and utilities projects.
