Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in environmental sciences or related field, with at least five years of NEPA experience in Arizona, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, planning, or related fields.
• Five years of NEPA document experience for transportation, railway, renewables, water, and utility sectors in Arizona.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Office, field, and remote work environment.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; GIS a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NEPA documents, technical documents, and/or environmental permits.
• Experience overseeing environmental commitments during construction, implementation, operations, and restoration activities.
• Assist with the preparation of project budgets, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Conduct site visits or field investigations and prepare technical reports or permits.
• Monitor and track environmental commitments during construction.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and resource agency personnel.
• Review project drawings and provide environmental input.
• Perform quality control reviews of documents.
• Assist with business development and marketing efforts.
• Research information relevant to environmental considerations on projects.
• Prepare tables, comments logs, meeting minutes/notes, or document templates.
