Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, planning, or related fields; advanced degree a plus.
• Five years of experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documents for transportation, rail, renewables, water, and utility sectors in California.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for peers, staff, and clients.
• Office, field, and work-from-home environment; travel may be required.
• Experience with industry software; GIS experience is a plus; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CEQA/NEPA documents, technical documents, and environmental permits including coastal commission and agency permits.
• Assist with budgets, scopes of work, and schedules for projects.
• Conduct field investigations and prepare technical reports or permits.
• Monitor and track environmental commitments during construction and restoration.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and resource agencies.
• Review project drawings and provide environmental input as needed.
• Conduct quality control reviews of documents; support business development and marketing.
• Create maps and figures using GIS and related tools.
• Research information relevant to environmental considerations on projects.
