Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Manager, Environmental Services for a remote role with travel within the United States up to 50%. The ideal candidate will reside in WA, OR, or Hawaii and bring a strong background in environmental management and EMS aviation regulations.

The position oversees regulatory compliance, audits, waste management, spill planning, and training across air and ground ambulance operations, ensuring safety and sustainability objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in environmental management, preferably in EMS/aviation or emergency medical services.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including aviation/emergency medical services.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Certifications in environmental management (e.g., CEM, CHMM) are a plus.
• Strong knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with CERS and SMARTS CA web-based environmental solutions.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for air and ground ambulance operations.
• Regulatory Liaison: Primary point of contact for environmental agencies and stakeholders.
• Environmental Audits: Conduct audits, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Waste Management: Develops and oversees hazardous waste disposal programs.
• Spill Response Planning: Maintain spill response plans for air and ground ops.
• Environmental Training: Train employees on policies and best practices.
• Environmental Risk Assessments: Coordinate impact assessments for projects or changes.
• Reporting: Prepare reports to regulators and internal stakeholders; engage legal for violations.
• Position requires travel within the United States (up to 50%).
