Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Manager of Environmental Services to develop, implement, and oversee environmental programs ensuring compliance and sustainability. The role supports air and ground ambulance operations and requires residence in WA, OR, or Hawaii.

You will lead regulatory liaison, audits, waste management, spill planning, training, and risk assessments while traveling up to 50% across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Several years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the air and ground medical transportation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including those specific to aviation and EMS.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certifications in environmental management (e.g., CEM, CHMM) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with CERS and SMARTS CA specific web based environmental solutions

Responsibilities

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations applicable to the air and ground ambulance industry
  • Regulatory Liaison: Serve as primary contact for environmental regulatory agencies and communicate regulatory changes
  • Environmental Audits: Conduct audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions
  • Waste Management: Develop and oversee waste management programs, including hazardous waste disposal
  • Spill Response Planning: Develop spill response plans for air and ground operations
  • Environmental Training: Train employees on environmental policies and best practices
  • Environmental Risk Assessments: Coordinate environmental impact assessments for projects
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulators and stakeholders
