Job summary

Leidos’ NISC IV Program seeks an Environmental & Safety Professional to support the FAA EOSH program, including indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, and chemical/hazardous waste management. The role requires travel up to 75% and work onsite at locations in the Fayetteville/Raleigh-Durham area, NC, with remote work options as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelors degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree and relevant experience.
• Environmental, health and safety experience.
• Proven experience with various types of EOSH field equipment (ex. PID, XRF, Dosimeter).
• Proficient in obtaining and developing Asbestos samples & reports.
• Experience in conducting and developing indoor air quality (IAQ) samples & reports.
• Technical competence in surveying and developing Fall Protection issues & reports as well as Electrical Safety issues and reports.
• Proficient in obtaining and developing Drinking Water samples and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental and safety support to the FAA EOSH Programs, including IAQ, Asbestos, Lead, PCBs, Chemical/Hazardous Waste, and more.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys, and submit technical reports with findings and guidance.
• Manage inspections using electronic data and online storage; use Microsoft tools.
• Research and interpret Federal, State, Local, and FAA rules applicable to EOSH programs.
• Provide problem-solving and customer service to internal and external customers.
