Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an Environmental Specialist for primarily remote work in the Southern Indiana area. The role focuses on stormwater compliance monitoring, erosion and sediment control inspections, and documentation for energy projects, with support for weekly reports and permitting tasks.

Responsibilities include field data collection, wetland delineations, and regulatory applications. Expect ~90% field work,~10% office work, and flexible hours with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 2–4 years of field-based environmental experience.
• Strong writing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel within OH, IN, KY and overnight stays.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete construction inspections, erosion control monitoring, and environmental marking.
• Assist with field data collection and wetland delineations.
• Work ~90% field work and ~10% office work, with flexible hours and overtime.
• Prepare weekly reports and permitting documents.
• Gain knowledge of regulatory requirements and complete basic regulatory agency applications.
