Qualifications

• Two years as an Environmental Engineering Specialist (Commonwealth title) or four years of professional experience in environmental engineering.
• Active PE license or PE-equivalent credential required by Pennsylvania state boards; active Engineering Intern certificate allowed for some tracks.
• Graduate study may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, feasibility studies, and project documents to support wastewater and drinking water projects.
• Maintain and update electronic data systems for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with regional offices, federal agencies, and partners to support project development.
• Provide training and participate in workgroups to advance program implementation and engineering standards.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of project files to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Travel to field sites within Pennsylvania to support project oversight and coordination.
