Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Manager, Environmental Construction to oversee day-to-day construction management for solar, wind, and storage projects, ensuring environmental compliance across SWPPP, SPCC, and biological clearance.

This remote role requires up to 70% travel and serves as the link between field teams, EPC contractors, and the Environmental department to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental construction and/or construction management.
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing environmental compliance scope or programs.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of SWPPP, SPCC, and biological clearance requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across solar, wind, and/or storage projects to ensure schedule, budget, and quality compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison between field construction teams and Environmental department; ensure permit conditions and SWPPP adherence.
• Oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors, including performance monitoring and schedule coordination.
• Lead pre-construction planning reviews including permit conditions and biological surveys.
• Coordinate resolution of construction-related environmental issues with Environmental team.
• Conduct regular field inspections and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Manage external consultants and budgets; review reports before distribution.
• Track and report progress, budgets, and environmental compliance to management.
• Administer and enforce corporate construction and environmental policies and regulatory requirements.
