Job summary

Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC) seeks an Environmental & Sustainability Support Specialist (On-Call). The position is remote with periodic travel to Federal Regional Offices across the United States, part-time up to 650 hours annually.

The role provides subject matter expertise in environmental compliance, hazardous materials management, and facility environmental auditing. The candidate will guide regulatory interpretation, develop technical guidance, and support FPS Materials Stewardship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, IT Systems, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant environmental/engineering/IT experience or training.
• Knowledge of federal environmental laws and regulations (RCRA, EPCRA, TRI).
• Experience supporting environmental compliance programs and audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME guidance on federal environmental laws and agency requirements.
• Support environmental compliance programs and hazard/materials management.
• Develop and maintain environmental audit questionnaires and SOPs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and track corrective actions.
