Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in complex insurance claims or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Investigate environmental claims, GL and excess liability claims to determine liability and damages.
• Review policies to determine coverage for environmental and liability claims.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants or counsel to minimize financial exposure.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on defense strategies and litigation progress.
• Manage environmental consultants and contractors on project work streams.
• Identify cost-saving measures and opportunities for process improvement.
• Monitor claim portfolio performance and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Provide underwriting with environmental risk insights for strategy and marketing.
