Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Complex Claims Manager to lead investigations and resolution of environmental, GL, and excess liability claims. You will evaluate coverage, liability, and settlements while ensuring regulatory compliance and coordination with underwriting and legal teams.

The role requires deep expertise in environmental regulations, construction defect claims, and leadership to manage a portfolio of critical cases within the Environmental Division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in claims/environmental risk management.

Responsibilities

• Investigate environmental, GL and excess liability claims to determine scope and liability.
• Review policies to assess coverage for environmental, GL and excess liabilities.
• Evaluate liability based on investigation findings and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants or counsel to minimize exposure.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on defense strategies and litigation progress.
• Manage external consultants and contractors on environmental projects.
• Identify cost-saving measures in the claims process.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and reporting throughout claims handling.
• Communicate claim status with policyholders, brokers, and internal teams.
