Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 0-2 years in research administration, grants, or related field.
• Familiarity with federal research funding regulations or ability to learn.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with electronic research administration and grants management systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review sponsored proposals and budgets to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university policies.
• Assist with the preparation of agreements and support negotiations under supervision.
• Prepare documentation for non-fiscal post-award actions, including no-cost extensions and contract amendments.
• Serve as a resource to principal investigators and departmental research administrators by answering questions and guiding policies.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and administrative projects.
• Develop and maintain expertise in research administration and sponsor requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed.
