North, a US-based payments company, is seeking an Enterprise Merchant Underwriter (Portfolio Management) to review high exposure merchant relationships and perform advanced financial analysis with risk-based due diligence.

The role requires underwriting expertise, collaboration with sales partners and merchants, and presenting findings to senior management. Remote work available with occasional travel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent.
• 2+ years financial analysis in payments or financial services.
• 5+ years commercial underwriting experience.
• 2+ years sales relationship management preferred.
• Ability to apply financial indicators to business decisions.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct periodic credit reviews and quantify results with narrative support.
• Prepare Credit Risk Assessments with detailed recommendations.
• Analyze high exposure merchants with varying risk dependencies.
• Execute collateral strategies to minimize losses (reserves, LOC, holds).
• Communicate with merchants, sales, internal teams, and management.
• Provide Approval Authority support for sign-offs within your scope.
• Help train and coach underwriting team members.
• Ensure service level agreements are met.
• Monitor phone queue with inbound/outbound calls.
• Review/update department policies per industry trends.
• Collaborate with ERM team for enhanced due diligence.
