Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead AI, cloud, and modernization initiatives for global clients. You will define architecture strategy, drive cloud-native solutions, and guide GenAI and agentic AI efforts across AWS and GCP.

You will mentor architects, collaborate with business leaders, and deliver scalable, secure platforms using Java/Spring Boot and event-driven designs, while ensuring client value and governance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or modernization programs.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture (AWS and/or GCP).
• Strong background in designing microservices, domain-driven, and event-driven systems with Java-based solutions.
• Proven success modernizing monolithic apps to cloud-native platforms.
• Experience leading architecture teams and mentoring leaders.
• Strong client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting architecture strategies, POCs, and executive recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture initiatives from discovery to business acceptance.
• Drive modernization programs transforming legacy platforms into cloud-native architectures.
• Define and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS, GCP, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven designs.
• Architect and guide GenAI/agentic AI solutions with LLMs, vector databases, and frameworks.
• Create roadmaps, POCs, and POVs aligning business and tech goals.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting best practices.
