Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-scale digital transformation and modernization initiatives globally. You will shape architecture strategy, define cloud-native solutions, and drive GenAI-enabled modernization across client engagements.

You will mentor architects and developers, collaborate with business leaders and client stakeholders, and ensure scalable, secure, future-ready solutions while delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience leading enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or modernization programs.
• Deep cloud expertise with AWS and/or GCP; proven microservices and event-driven design.
• Experience modernizing monolithic apps to cloud-native platforms; client-facing leadership.
• Ability to define architecture strategies, POCs, and executive-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture initiatives from discovery to business acceptance.
• Drive application modernization programs transforming legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
• Define and implement scalable solutions using AWS, GCP, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Architect GenAI and agentic AI solutions with LLMs, frameworks, and vector databases.
• Create roadmaps, POCs, and POVs aligning business and technology goals.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting best practices.
• Engage with clients to solve complex challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
