Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead AI, cloud and modernization initiatives for global clients. You will drive architecture strategy, define cloud-native solutions, and mentor teams across the delivery lifecycle.

You will lead GenAI and agentic AI efforts, work with AWS and GCP, Java/Spring Boot, and microservices. Engage with executives to align business goals with technology strategies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or modernization programs.
• Cloud architecture expertise with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong design experience with microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven systems, and Java-based solutions.
• Proven success modernizing monolithic apps into cloud-native platforms.
• Experience leading architecture teams and mentoring technical leaders.
• Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting architecture strategies, POCs, and executive recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture initiatives from discovery to implementation and acceptance.
• Drive application modernization programs to cloud-native architectures.
• Define and implement scalable solutions using AWS, GCP, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and events.
• Architect and guide GenAI and agentic AI solutions using modern frameworks and LLMs.
• Create architecture roadmaps, POCs, and POVs aligning business and technology.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to promote best practices.
