Job summary

The University of Maine is seeking an Analyst Programmer II to join our Enterprise Services team in a fully remote role across the United States. You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications that support students, faculty, and staff across Maine's public universities.

You'll work with a collaborative technical team to deliver functionality, troubleshoot production issues, and upgrade applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years as a programmer in application development or support.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, document, maintain, and enhance apps.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and development standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to learn new languages and tools quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, implement, document, and maintain enterprise functionality.
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues and implement solutions.
  • Support reliable, secure production environments and on-call duties.
  • Apply secure coding, testing, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs.
  • Support upgrades and work with vendors and partners as needed.
  • Create technical docs and stay current with tools and best practices.
