Job summary

Options for Youth - San Bernardino, Inc. is seeking an educator to identify and instruct English Learners, manage a caseload of 50-75 students, and report progress to leadership.

The role includes administering ELPAC tests and creating Individualized Learning Plans to reach English proficiency. The position is remote with a 10% in-person requirement for events and PDs, located within the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles, and Pasadena areas.

Qualifications

• Experience working with second language learners.
• Valid California clear or preliminary single-subject teaching credential required.
• English Learner Authorization (ELA1 or similar) required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and instruct English Learners with ELD support in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Manage a caseload of 50-75 students with weekly interventions and progress reporting.
• Administer ELPAC tests and develop Individualized Learning Plans to move students toward English proficiency.
