Job summary

Orbital is seeking an Engineering Services Quality Manager for a REMOTE WORK role to harmonize work processes and drive quality across projects in our Engineering division. You will lead the Quality Management System, conduct audits, develop training, manage supplier quality, and establish KPIs while collaborating across regions.

Requirements include 10 years in oil & gas, power generation or utilities, ISO 9001 knowledge, strong communication and leadership, and proficiency with project

Qualifications

• 10 years of proven experience in oil & gas, power generation or Utilities; other heavy industrial engineering projects considered.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, standards (ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office and design & business enterprise software.
• Strong presentation, communication and leadership skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Quality Management System to create a culture of engagement and value creation throughout the workforce and to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Facilitate collaboration across regions and departments to increase knowledge sharing and work process alignment.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into the engineering design and development processes.
• Develop training material and conduct training sessions to ensure understanding of quality procedures and requirements.
• Lead improvement initiatives on work processes and templates utilized by project teams.
• Manage audit processes across projects to gauge consistency in standards, and adherence to quality requirements and established procedures.
• Establish and maintain KPIs to measure quality metrics and present findings to stakeholders.
• Interface with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements and perform supplier quality assessments.
• Prepare monthly reports to engineering management on Quality Compliance.
• Solicit feedback on the Quality Management System and opportunities for revisions.
