Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager or Principal Consultant to lead and expand our Transmission & Distribution Engineering and Consulting Division. This remote role is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who can independently perform complex power system studies, mentor peers, and help drive business growth in related areas.

You will guide power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics and techno-economics studies, and contribute to script development while

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred; advanced degree may be considered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and execute studies in power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics, and techno-economics for transmission, distribution, load, and generation.
• Guide script development and troubleshooting to improve study efficiency and reduce rework.
• Advance team capabilities and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with support staff for proper project setup and closeout.
• Review time logs and flag budget risks.
