Job summary

Canonical is seeking a technical Engineering Manager to lead teams focused on Big Data and MySQL databases. You will work with Python and Golang, contribute code when needed, and promote modern, agile practices at scale on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.

This is a remote-first role with global collaboration and occasional travel for events. You will hire and coach engineers, drive quality, and build a high-performing culture aligned with Canonical’s values.

Qualifications

• Software engineering background with production-scale experience.
• Strong Python and Golang development能力.
• Proven track record building high-quality, open-source software.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team building scalable data solutions for Kubernetes and cloud machines.

• Be part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders.
• Work from home with global travel twice yearly for internal events.
