You will mentor engineers, align with leadership, and advance modern software practices while collaborating with the broader Canonical community. Expect periodic global travel and a strong focus on Linux kernel, virtualization, storage and networking.
Qualifications
- Understanding modern Linux cloud computing technologies including networking, storage, containers and Kubernetes.
- Strong track record of developing people and enabling high performing teams.
- Focus on delivering high quality software on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of remote engineers and drive technical delivery.
- Develop talent through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
- Set and manage expectations with other teams and leadership.
- Promote modern software development practices and code reviews.
- Engage with Canonical and open source communities; travel 4–6 weeks yearly.
