This isn’t a hands-on coding role, but you’ll need depth to understand architecture and engage credibly with engineers. You’ll focus on team health, execution, planning, and cross-functional coordination.

You’ll lead a distributed team, shaping priorities, aligning with stakeholders, and driving delivery across complex tech workstreams while supporting hiring and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or highly technical teams in a managerial capacity.
• Strong people management skills with a track record of healthy teams and growth.
• Excellent project and delivery management including planning and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of around 9 engineers within one function.
• Create a healthy, high-trust team environment with a strong focus on people management.
• Drive planning, prioritisation, and execution across complex technical workstreams.
• Negotiate timelines and delivery trade-offs with stakeholders clearly and pragmatically.
• Build enough technical context to understand architecture discussions and translate them into executable plans.
• Partner closely with technical leaders to keep projects moving and unblock delivery.
• Improve team ways of working and delivery predictability in a distributed environment.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members as the organisation grows.
