Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years managing and developing engineers.
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, DevTools, or scalable backend systems.
• Experience designing or operating stateful services at scale.
• Strong architecture and systems-design judgment.
• Comfortable managing highly senior engineers while remaining technically engaged.
• Experience taking ambiguous or greenfield infrastructure projects from design to production.
• Strong product instincts and ability to connect infrastructure decisions to developer/customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Own performance management, feedback, coaching, and career development.
• Set technical direction and participate in architecture and system-design decisions.
• Lead development of a greenfield object-storage platform and future stateful-service abstractions.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Design, and customers on roadmap and product decisions.
• Balance engineering velocity with reliability, scalability, security, and operational quality.
• Help define the developer experience around storage and other persistent infrastructure.
• Lead complex distributed-systems projects from concept through production.
