Job summary

Horizon3 is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our EDR remediation team within the NodeZero platform. You will guide backend engineers and security practitioners, shaping how we convert offensive learnings into defensive capabilities across production environments.

You will partner with a staff-level technical lead for architecture and work with Product on roadmap and sequencing, translating goals into deliverable work while maintaining a strong security and reliability posture.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with EDR or security operations to partner with domain experts.
• Proven experience leading highly technical backend or platform engineering teams in SaaS/cybersecurity/cloud-scale environments.
• Track record delivering products with fixed dates and ambiguous requirements.
• Strong dependency and stakeholder management across many engineering teams.
• Understanding of security and reliability best practices in multi-tenant SaaS.
• Experience partnering with a staff-level technical lead to delineate management vs technical ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers and security practitioners with deep EDR expertise.
• Turn EDR workflows into buildable requirements and usable product capabilities.
• Partner with a staff-level technical lead on architecture and with Product on roadmap and sequencing.
• Translate ambiguous goals into sequenced, deliverable work and actively manage scope.
• Remain technically engaged to challenge assumptions and unblock the team.
• Establish design reviews, release practices, on-call, and incident response discipline.
