Job summary

PSE Healthy Energy is an independent science and policy research institute focused on clean energy transitions, environmental health, and energy equity. We seek an Energy Transition Scientist/Postdoc to join a two-year term and lead data-driven analyses that inform policy and practice.

The role blends rigorous quantitative research with real-world impact, analyzing energy systems, costs, emissions, and resilience while collaborating with scientists, policymakers, NGOs, and communities.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in engineering, energy systems, economics, environmental science, or related field.
• Experience in energy research or policy, especially energy transitions, affordability, and resilience.
• Strong track record of timely, high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis, synthesize research, and lead PSE research efforts.
• Develop and apply energy modeling and statistical tools across topics.
• Manage large datasets, data/code management, and visualization tasks.
• Communicate findings clearly to policymakers, NGOs, and communities.
• Provide mentorship and potentially supervise staff on projects.
