Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility-scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

The Energy Storage Project Executive will provide leadership and oversight to multiple projects, collaborating with engineering, project controls, finance and field operations to manage scope, cost and risk while ensuring profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design and/or construction of utility or commercial/industrial infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Leadership ability to lead remote teams and build cohesive, high-performing project teams.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project-level executive decisions on cost and risk impacts.
• Provide oversight of change management events with Owners, Subcontractors, and regulators.
• Support business development, estimating and services departments.
• Hire, train and mentor team members for project roles.
• Develop standards and processes to improve the business.
• Coordinate project execution, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with Owners, Engineers, and Subcontractors; protect rights per the Prime Contract.
• Prepare project billings to maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owners.
• Lead regular project update meetings with client and internal stakeholders.
• Identify needs, develop scopes of work, and hire third parties as needed.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to address logistics and supply-chain challenges.
• Review contract conditions for compliance.
• Document significant project events (accidents, delays, change orders).
• Assess and mitigate project risk with the team and senior management.
