Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Preconstruction Project Engineer- Energy Storage to support the preconstruction team, manage deliverables, and help achieve project profitability and schedule goals. You will coordinate design deliverables, track RFIs, assist in BOM finalization, and oversee project document management.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations to align design, cost, and scheduling.

Qualifications

Experience in energy storage construction or design projects.
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
Effective written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Precon PM and internal/external engineering teams.
Maintain project documentation and systems (drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, cost tracking).
Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and general project engineering functions.
Coordinate preconstruction-to-construction handover, LNTP development, and operational readiness.
Provide project engineering support including meetings, document management, and cost reporting.
Validate design assumptions, equipment lead times, installation strategies, and project logistics; identify constructability risks.
