Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Preconstruction Project Engineer for Energy Storage to support the preconstruction team, coordinating deliverables to meet profitability and schedule goals. The role involves design deliverables, RFI management, and BOM finalization, with duties spanning documentation and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and operations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Energy Storage construction or design-related experience.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
• Proficient in reading and understanding plans and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Precon PM, and internal/external engineering teams.
• Maintain project documentation: drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, cost tracking, quality records, CMiC.
• Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and general project engineering functions.
• Coordinate from preconstruction to construction: documentation, scope definition, LNTP development, and readiness for execution teams.
• Provide meeting coordination, document management, and cost reporting to support Energy Storage projects.
• Work with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations to validate design assumptions, equipment lead times, and installation strategies.
