Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking an Energy & Transmission Market Consultant, an experienced electricity market analyst, to support due diligence on transmission congestion impacts under SCED. You will model markets, analyze outcomes, and present results to clients.

The role involves managing client engagements, performing economic studies of conventional and renewable generation, and developing business with utilities and developers. Fully remote work is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus four+ years of relevant experience in energy markets.
Experience in energy markets with modeling software such as PROMOD IV, Encompass, UPLAN, or Plexos.
Experience in the electricity industry conducting economic studies of conventional and renewable generation.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with ability to lead and communicate project results.

Responsibilities

Perform complex electricity market modeling and transmission congestion analysis using PROMOD with SCED.
Analyze study results to develop deliverables with actionable solutions for clients.
Manage client engagements and ongoing client relationships.
Present study results and findings to client executives.
Research key energy market processes and current issues/trends.
Conduct business development activities with clients and prospects.
Develop and expand key client relationships.
