Job summary

Northern Wasco County PUD is seeking an Energy Data Analyst I to join its Power Resources team. This hands-on role blends SQL, Python, relational databases, ETL pipelines, and BI with energy supply and power market analytics to support operations and planning.

You will develop and maintain databases, pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools for critical Power Resources data, working with large time-series datasets of electric load and resources.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex SQL, relational databases, and ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and data visualization to build dashboards.
• Familiarity with energy data analytics and time-series data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data models.
• Design, build, schedule, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, KPI reports, and recurring/ad-hoc reporting.
• Analyze electric load and resource data across multiple time periods.
• Provide power market analytics and monitoring to support operations, planning, and decision‑making.
• Organize, validate, and analyze data used for energy settlements and reconciliation.
• Present analytical findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives focused on improving systems and reporting.
• Provide cross-training and backup support for analytics functions.
