Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks an EMR/EHR Application Support Manager to lead production support, optimization, and governance of clinical systems remotely across the US. You will mentor analysts, align with clinicians and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in a HIPAA-conscious environment.

The role requires 5+ years supporting EMR/EHR or healthcare apps, strong incident management, and collaboration with vendors. W2 benefits are provided; travel not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting EMR/EHR or healthcare applications.
• 2+ years leading or supervising support teams.
• Experience supporting clinical users in healthcare settings.
• Strong incident management and service delivery background.
• SQL databases and query troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with HL7 interfaces and healthcare integrations is a plus.
• ITIL and Healthcare Informatics certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Application Support Analysts and manage daily operations.
• Establish SLAs, support metrics, and coordinate on-call schedules and incidents.
• Develop support processes, knowledge articles and SOPs.
• Oversee EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athena, NextGen, eCW, Meditech).
• Ensure prompt resolution of issues and manage major incidents.
• Coordinate cross-functional resolution and go-live activities.
• Monitor application performance and availability.
• Collaborate with clinical/operational leaders as escalation point.
• Coordinate with vendors on defects, enhancements and outages, and communicate during outages.
• Guide troubleshooting of integrations (HL7, API) and reporting/workflow issues.
• Ensure root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulatory controls documentation.
