Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced EMR/EHR Application Support Manager for remote contract work in the United States. The role leads a team of application support analysts, defines SLAs, and partners with clinical and business stakeholders to ensure system stability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include incident management, performance monitoring, go-live support, and continuous improvement across Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, Meditech, or other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Healthcare Informatics, CS or related field.
• 5+ years supporting EMR/EHR or healthcare applications.
• 2+ years leading or supervising support teams.
• Experience supporting clinical users in healthcare environments.
• ITIL and healthcare informatics certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Application Support Analysts and manage daily operations.
• Establish SLAs and support metrics, and coordinate on-call schedules and incident response.
• Develop support processes, knowledge articles, and SOPs.
• Oversee EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, Meditech).
• Ensure HIPAA compliance, support audits, and maintain control documentation.
• Coordinate upgrades, releases, Go-Live activities, and incident management.
• Collaborate with vendors on defects, enhancements, and outages.
• Guide troubleshooting of SQL, interfaces, HL7, and reporting issues.
