Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an EMR/EHR Application Support Manager to lead a remote team responsible for production support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EMR/EHR systems across multiple platforms.

You will mentor analysts, coordinate with clinicians and vendors, and drive incident management, SLAs, and regulatory compliance to ensure stable operations and optimal user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting EMR/EHR or healthcare applications.
• 2+ years leading or supervising support teams.
• Experience supporting clinical users in healthcare environments.
• Strong incident management and service delivery background.
• SQL databases and query troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and clinical operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• ITIL and Healthcare Informatics certifications preferred.
• HL7 interfaces and healthcare integrations experience preferred.
• Jira/ServiceNow/Confluence or similar ticketing systems preferred.
• Project management and EMR implementation or go-live support leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Application Support Analysts and manage daily operations.
• Establish SLAs, support metrics, and incident response coordination.
• Develop support processes, knowledge articles, and SOPs.
• Oversee EMR/EHR platform support (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, etc.).
• Ensure prompt resolution of clinical and operational issues; manage major incidents.
• Coordinate cross-functional resolution teams for releases and go-lives.
• Monitor application performance and availability.
• Partner with clinical/business leaders as escalation point for complex issues.
• Collaborate with vendors on defects, enhancements and outages communication.
• Guide troubleshooting of application, SQL, HL7 and API integrations.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and support regulatory audits; maintain controls docs.
