Our client, a growing plaintiff-side employment law firm, seeks an employment litigation attorney for a primarily remote role, handling cases from intake through resolution with independence and opportunity for financial upside.

Illinois bar admission is required; 4 to 20+ years of labor and employment litigation experience is expected; base salary around $120,000 with strong bonus potential; Chicago office space available as needed.

Qualifications

• 4–20+ years of labor and employment litigation experience.
• Plaintiff-side employment experience preferred; defense attorneys transitioning to plaintiff side will be considered.
• Illinois bar admission required; Missouri admission or waiver a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate potential employment matters and identify viable cases.
• Manage employment matters independently from intake through resolution.
• Draft charges, demand letters, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, and factual investigations.
• Develop case strategy and manage litigation matters.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve matters through appropriate dispute resolution processes.
• Handle trials when appropriate, with team support for significant matters.
• Potentially develop business and originate additional plaintiff-side matters over time.
