You will defend employers in employment-related litigation and handle matters before federal and state courts and agencies, drafting pleadings and discovery, taking depositions, and advising on compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California bar admission is required.
• 5+ years of employment law defense experience.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Handle matters before federal and state courts and agencies such as EEOC and DOL.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlements.
• Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, agreements, and contracts.
