Qualifications

• J.D. degree and admission to practice in California.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Comfort with managing discovery and filing motions.
• Working knowledge of federal and/or state civil procedure.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Familiarity with employment law is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work well with others, including paralegals and law firm staff.
• A drive to contribute to growing our practice representing employees.
• A friendly and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute case strategy in employment and/or workers' comp matters.
• Manage discovery: draft and respond to requests, take/defend depositions, supervise experts.
• Draft motions, mediation briefs, trial briefs, and court filings.
• Attend mediations and conduct settlement negotiations.
• Argue motions and examine witnesses at hearings and trials.
• Collaborate closely with clients and opposing counsel.
