Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an Employee Safety professional to lead local safety initiatives and support high reliability in a healthcare setting. This role requires implementing and evaluating safety standards, regulatory compliance, and hazard control within the Minneapolis area.

The candidate will analyze data, conduct audits, and collaborate with leaders to reduce injuries and costs while promoting a culture of safety and well-being for all staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Biology, Industrial Hygiene, Medical Technology or related field.
• 2 to 5 years experience in healthcare industry in an employee safety, emergency management, industrial hygiene, public health or related department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance with local, state and national standards.
• Develop and implement employee safety programs and procedures.
• Analyze safety data and incidents to drive prevention actions.
• Lead safety initiatives and educate staff on safety standards and SDS handling.
• Coordinate investigations into incidents and prepare corrective action plans.
