Job summary

Ladders, a leader in the Information Technology space, seeks an Employee Relations and Labor Relations Specialist to provide expert guidance on employee and labor relations, conduct sensitive investigations, and support resolution of issues in union and non-union settings.

The role emphasizes grievance handling, mediation, arbitration, and applying policies and collective bargaining agreements to ensure fair practices across the organization. Remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR, employee relations, or labor relations experience, especially in union settings.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee and labor relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws applicable in unionized environments.
• Discretion with sensitive information and professionalism in handling cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risk and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee and labor relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management.
• Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints in both union and non-union environments.
• Manage formal union grievances and represent the organization in mediations and arbitrations.
• Document investigation findings and recommend corrective actions in collaboration with HR leadership.
• Advise on interpretation of policies and collective bargaining agreements to ensure fair application.
• Support collective bargaining and contract renewals, addressing compliance issues and workplace disputes.
• Develop training and resources to enhance manager capabilities in employee and labor relations.
