Job summary

Pierce County is seeking an Employee Relations Investigator to conduct high-volume investigations in a represented public-sector environment. You will interview employees and witnesses, gather and analyze evidence, and prepare objective investigative reports to support management decisions.

You will advise managers on performance, misconduct, corrective action, and disciplinary matters while working across employee relations and labor relations teams.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of professional experience in legal, human resources, judicial, or law enforcement environments.
• Ability to conduct high-volume investigations and interviews with thorough documentation.
• Experience drafting investigative reports and guidance for management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent investigations into alleged policy violations and misconduct.
• Interview complainants, respondents, witnesses, and supervisors.
• Collect, preserve, and analyze documentary, electronic, and other evidence.
• Prepare clear investigative reports with findings, credibility assessments, and recommendations.
• Advise managers on performance, corrective action, and disciplinary matters.
