Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Employee Relations Investigator to conduct impartial, fact-based investigations of alleged misconduct and policy violations across the company.

You will own end-to-end investigation processes, collaborate with HR, Legal, and Labor Relations, and draft clear reports while maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards. This remote/hybrid role requires strong judgment and cross-functional partnering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in HR or investigations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations into discrimination or harassment.
• Strong interviews, analysis, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end investigations per GM protocols.
• Communicate results clearly to HR, leaders, Legal, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Labor Relations, Legal, Audit, Security.
• Draft high-quality investigation reports synthesizing facts and policy standards.
• Maintain case management with proper documentation and evidence handling.
• Ensure confidentiality and uphold GM values and applicable laws.
