Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks an EMIS/CTE Specialist to accurately capture, map, and report state education data for Ohio. This role ensures compliant data extraction, file preparation, and timely submission to ODEW, with escalation of Level 1/2 errors. The position is remote with Ohio residency required.

The specialist collaborates with school end-users, maintains data systems such as Smartsheet and Data Collector, and supports CRDC and FLICS reporting while staying current on Ohio requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must reside in Ohio.
• At least 3 years EMIS data reporting experience.
• Direct CTE reporting, ODDEX, and EMIS compliance knowledge.
• Advanced MS Office data entry; Excel & Word; familiarity with education software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; protect sensitive data.
• Must pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Extract district data and prepare files for EMIS submission to ODEW.
• Record CTE classes in Smartsheet and map course sections.
• Enter and manage student data for SPED, LEP, and gifted programs.
• Investigate and resolve Level 1/2 submission errors in ODDEX.
• Complete CRDC and FLICS reporting.
• Communicate errors to the CTE team and guide staff to fix data at source.
• Maintain history records and EMIS documentation for end users.
• Update staff data in USPS for compliance reporting.
• Stay current with Ohio state reporting requirements via ODEW trainings.
