Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Remote Radio Dispatcher/Call-Taker to provide emergency dispatch and call-taking for the North Slope region, including Prudhoe Bay. The role involves rotating two weeks on / two weeks off, with days and nights alternating across rotations.

You will dispatch emergency and security services, manage calls, and operate CAD systems in a high‑stakes environment while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork in a remote camp setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years related experience in the field.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and contract software.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical and fit for duty, and hearing test.
• Able to live in dormitory-style remote camp.
• Capable of teamwork and quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must speak/read/write English.
• Must meet safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch emergency services for fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
• Dispatch security personnel for safety/security calls.
• Communicate with co-workers and agencies including North Slope Borough and state/federal entities.
• Receive and route calls for Greater Prudhoe Bay and provide information/referrals.
• Use computer-aided dispatch system to capture emergency and non-emergency data.
• Notify parties via phone, radio, or pager systems as incidents occur.
• Monitor alarms and notify responsible personnel in a timely manner.
• Serve as the phone operator for the Greater Prudhoe Bay Field and handle routine requests.
