Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Remote Radio Dispatcher / Call-Taker for the Greater Prudhoe Bay area on Alaska's North Slope. This role provides emergency dispatch and call-taking services to protect lives, environment, wildlife and property, operating on a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation with day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years directly related to this field.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Pass pre-employment requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty, hearing test).
• Live in dormitory-style settings and work as part of a team.
• Make decisions with minimal supervision and follow safety guidelines.
• English speaking, reading and writing required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch emergency services for fires, medical, and other incidents.
• Dispatch security personnel for safety-related calls.
• Coordinate with agencies and other responders.
• Answer calls and provide information and referrals.
• Use CAD to capture call data quickly and accurately.
• Notify appropriate parties via phone, radio, and pager systems.
• Monitor alarms and make timely notifications.
• Serve as phone operator for the Greater Prudhoe Bay facility.
• Report personnel matters to Dispatch leadership.
• Work cooperatively in a shared indoor space.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a 14-day on/off rotation.
• Maintain confidentiality and composure during emergencies.
• Use desktops, radios, and other communication devices.
• Possess working knowledge of Greater Prudhoe Bay geography.
