• High School Diploma is required.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC/CPC-H) is required.
• 1+ years of ED coding experience.
• 1+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• Familiarity with NCCI/MUE basics and facility modifier awareness.

Responsibilities

• Codes Emergency Department services.
• Confirms documentation supports code selection and resolves APC impacts.
• Applies ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and supports charge capture reconciliation and late charges.
• Meets established quality and productivity standards in a production environment.
