Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is actively hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and test Flight Management System software for military helicopters and aircraft. The role blends C/C++, Ada, Python, and software lifecycle processes to deliver reliable avionics software in collaboration with systems and software teams.

Remote work option with US citizenship required and potential DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of related experience.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a software role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems in military helicopters and planes.
• Collaborate with systems and software engineers to ensure integrated, reliable avionics software.
• Master knowledge of software engineering practices and Flight Management Systems.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and coordination skills in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
