Job summary

Mars Men is seeking an Email/SMS Copywriter to craft every customer message after the first click. You’ll own lifecycle emails and SMS, covering welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, subscription upsell, winback, and cancel-save, plus weekly campaigns for both prospects and subscribers.

You’ll collaborate with a small in-house retention team, ensure messages align with brand voice, and work within compliance guardrails while delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct response copywriting for DTC, ecommerce, consumer brands, or agency environments.
• Demonstrated subject line and body copy work tied to open/click/revenue per recipient or conversions.
• Ability to write inside a defined brand voice from research documents.

Responsibilities

• Write email and SMS copy across the full lifecycle, including welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, subscription upsell, winback, and cancel-save.
• Own the weekly campaign copy, including subject lines, preview text, body, and CTAs, for both prospects and active subscribers.
• Run tests on subject lines, offers, and angles; form hypotheses, write variants, read results, and roll winners into evergreen flows.
• Adapt proven acquisition angles into retention, including core product mechanism, clinical authority, and founder story, without recycling copy verbatim.
• Write to segment so different customers receive tailored messages.
