Job summary

MnSCU Academic Professional 2 - Coordinator for Student Leadership and Identity Programs in Saint Paul manages campus programming, leadership workshops, and budget support. The role also co-advises Student Senate and travels with them to LEAD MN conferences, while developing and sustaining resources for ARTI campus initiatives.

Collaborating with the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and campus partners, this position aims to promote success for historically marginalized students

Qualifications

• Two years of experience on a college campus in student life setting (Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year).
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, staff, and faculty.
• Effective written and verbal communication to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Understanding of student government and leadership development theories and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership development and inclusive campus engagement.
• Advise Student Senate and student organizations in planning, budgeting, and execution of programs.
• Coordinate the Student Life Office to implement learning experiences for students.
• Oversee student workers and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other duties to support the department and organizational reputation.
